Volatility looks to be approaching historic lows with the EURO crisis recently brought under control. The long term effects of the Great Recession are still lingering in the economy and are evident in the ever rising commodity prices. Every easing measure possible was used by the worlds central bankers (2007-2012) to make sure that the worlds economy didn't head in a deflationary spiral. Oil is especially a worry as the higher oil prices will choke the consumer and force him to spend less. The markets have got a bit ahead of themselves here and they always do whether in an overbought situation or oversold.
